Drumsara Central Otago Pinot Noir 2013
For vintage 2013 we experienced a dry, warm autumn allowing the ripening fruit to develop good varietal flavours. Harvest was between 8-26 April 2013 and the fruit was hand-picked, impeccably clean with good maturity. The hand-picked fruit was mostly destemmed and crushed, but ten percent was retained as whole berries in the ferment.
Our 2013 Pinot Noir is the perfect example of Drumsara’s terroir. It expresses complex dark and wild forest fruits along with cherry, plum and strawberry with an underlying hint of spices. The palate abounds in deep fruit flavours, support by vanilla and cocoa. The fine-grained tannins and lively acidity give this wine great length and aging potential. Enjoy now thru 2020.
